Slide - 10ft PlatformCOMMUNITY AWARENESS EVENT in the Methodist Church.Local voluntary groups & Charitable Organisations promoting awareness.  These will include The Deerstalkers (Sherlock Holmes Society), Welshpool Music Club, Volunteer Bureau,
BOUNCING CASTLE: in Canal Yard

OPEN GARDENS: 2 town centre gardens open as part of the National Open Gardens Scheme.No 1 Church Bank and Oak Cottage 23 High Street.

CHILDREN'S CRAFTS:    A number of children's craft workshops will be held during the day at the Powysland Museum.

FORTUNE TELLER: Your cards read to cover the next 12 months. Can be found in the Judges Retiring Room upstairs in Town Hall.

AFRICAN DRUMMING: 'Come along and join Richard Zimbler for an African drumming workshop, learn some basic beats and rythems and join him for a performance at 1.30pm.  All ages and abiltiies welcome! ' At Powysland Museum Canal yard.

FAIRGROUND ORGAN: In Boot Street. This is sponsored by Lamplite Antiques in Boot Street.

TOWN CRIER: Montgomery Town Crier Sue Blower will be in attendance during the day.

'Come and watch local youth dance groups perform a high energy urban dance that fuses elements of classic hip hop - top rock, locking, popping and body waves with street jazz. ' Being held at Powysland Museum Canal Yard.

ZUMBA: Come along and join inj, take part or simply watch the latest dance / fitness craze. Fun for everyone. Hall Street Stage afternoon.

CHILDRENS DISNEY MASCOT STREET PARTY: Children invited to take part and dress up as their favourite Disney character. Food, drink & goodie bag supplied. Tickets £3.50 from Tourist Information Centre. No tickets sold on the day. To be held in Hall Street.


GUIDED WALK: The next walk will take place on Saturday 30 June and will start from Coed-y-Dinas Garden Centre at 1030.
We will walk on the canal path into Welshpool and stop at the Powisland Museum for about an hour to marvel at their displays of household, farming and vetinerary implements from the past, before moving on to the grounds of Powys Castle where we will stop for our lunch. We will then cross open farmland to descend to the locks at Belan and make a short stop at the MWT reserve before returning to our cars. The cafe at Coed-y-Dinas will be open before and of course after our walk. Dress appropriately for the weather forecast and bring binoculars and lunch. Children and dogs are welcome.
